Bates calls nice game against Irish
South Bend, Ind.- After the Trojans' dramatic 34-27 win over the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium, USC quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates high-fived and chest-bumped his way toward the locker room.
On a day where the Trojan offense scored a lot of points (34) and gained a lot of yards (501), Bates had a lot of reasons to smile.
"He's seen everything. Plays worked, and he kept calling them," quarterback Matt Barkley said. "He does that a lot. Obviously, I'm stoked with how he does it. I don't know if people see him on the sidelines, but he's having so much fun out there.
"It's so cool to have a coach like that who is so fired up about football."
