Irish commit talks official visit to A&M
Missouri City (TX) Fort Bend Marshall cornerback Toney Hurd Jr. committed to Notre Dame at the end of October. It was supposed to be the end of the recruiting process for the 5-foot-9, 185-pound defender. However, as word began to spread that then Fighting Irish head coach Charlie Weis would not be retained, Hurd started listening to other programs again.
One local school that has been recruiting him since the outset has been Texas A&M. This weekend, Hurd traveled an hour-and-a-half up the road from his Houston-area home for an official visit to College Station.
