Roundtable wraps up the 2009 football season

Sitting at the roundtable is Gene Williams and Corey Dowlar from Warchant.com, as well as Ira Schoffell and Paul Thomas from the Osceola.

What was your most memorable moment of the 2009 season?

Ira: It had to be the Gator Bowl postgame press conference. Standing there and watching Coach Bowden address the media for the final time as Florida State's head coach was something I'll never forget. I was actually standing next to Greg Allen and watched Allen nod his head at so many of Coach Bowden's statements. You could just see the respect, the love, the admiration. And at the same time, it was nice to see the old Bobby back again. For the first time in a while, Coach Bowden seemed at peace. The whole day was just perfect on so many levels, and the press conference was the capper.

Paul: There are so many moments to choose from this season. Mickey's last game was pretty emotional and him planting the spear was pretty special. When the team came out arm and arm with Coach Bowden before Georgia Tech that was a pretty special moment as well, and so was everything at the Gator Bowl. But if I'm going with one play it has to be Greg Reid's punt return against Maryland. If Reid doesn't return that punt that punt 48 yards to set up EJ and the offense then there is no Gator Bowl send off. Can you imagine how things would have played out if Bowden was forced to resign after the loss at Florida with a 5-7 record in his final season. That's why in my mind no play was bigger was than Reid's punt return.
