MORGANTOWN--Entering his second season as the starting center on offense, Mountaineer Joe Madsen has been given an additional second or two to survey the landscape. There's Chris Neild, everybody's All-American, staring at him at nose guard. But Madsen kind of likes the kid running behind Neild, too.

"We started working out together last fall. I like him a lot. He can lift with me--strong as an ox," said the 6-foot-4, 291-pound redshirt sophomore. "I think he could help here."
