Spring camp clears up QB picture

When you return 16 players with starting experience, there are generally very few questions the next season. However when you lose two quarterbacks with starting experience, one being last year's Pac-10 1st team QB (Sean Canfield) and the other being one who lead the Beavers to victory over the then #1 ranked USC Trojans (Lyle Moevao). All of us are pretty aware of what the two brought to the Beavers both on and off the field, both will be sorely missed. But as we move onto the 2010 season, figuring out who will be Coach Mike Riley's next gunslinger is pretty high on the to-do list.
Spring camp had four quarterbacks battling it out for spots on the depth chart. The front runners for the starting spot coming into spring were Ryan Katz and Peter Lalich, but true freshmen Cody Vaz and Jack Lomax didn't disappoint either throughout camp. Here's how the group progressed and their spring grades.
