LSU missed out on the best player at Thibodaux High last year and is currently engaged in a tug-of-war for the Tigers' top player.

When it comes to that program's top prospect in the Class of 2012, who also projects to be among the state's best as well, LSU didn't allow that process to really get off the ground when Thibodaux middle linebacker Trey Granier committed Thursday evening to the Tigers.
