Bigelow enjoys his 48 hours in Eugene
He's a turn on a dime running back that's unafraid to take on tacklers. In fact, few backs have a style that fit the Duck offense as well as Brendon Bigelow's. His visit to Oregon featured all the usual things and his host was all-everything Josh Huff.
Bigelow commented on his host's big day. "Yeah, he was pretty good for sure. Before the game we just hung out and played NCAA for a bit and hung out with some of the other guys (Danny Shelton and Huff). I liked the stadium, campus and the fans and everything about it really. I'm still open but I definitely liked it. It was loud and crazy. The fans and stuff. It told me, it's a college town and everybody that lives there comes to the games and that kind of impressed me," said Bigelow.
When might he make a final decision? "I'm gong to talk to my dad and my uncle about it and start figuring it out. I don't know exactly when I'll decide though. When it feels right, that's all I know for now about that."
Bigelow of course is an explosive back who said the coaches see as a running back or a guy who could be used as a slash receiver. So what's he looking for in an offensive style of play? "The spread offense. That's it." said Bigelow. "It's similar to what I run in high school and my coach he grew up in Oregon. He came and took our program and twisted it up and gave us a chance to get the most out of our skills. We were running the Wing T and then he came in and put in the spread and we all thought what the heck is this? I love the offense/ I've been in it since middle school now. I love the offense because there's so many ways you can do things and a lot of ways to get the ball in your hands. It's exactly what my coach was telling me about."
