For the season, the Hokies' rank 7th nationally in pass efficiency defense. Against a common opponent, UNC, FSU gave up 439 passing yards while Virginia Tech held the T.J. Yates to just 197 and picked him off four times. With his 8 picks, CB Jayron Hosley is having an All-American type of season. | Christian Ponder had arguably his best game of the season last week passing for three TDs without an interception. He will once again be "banged up" this week after having his arm drained of fluid on Sunday. However, he is already back practicing and should be relatively healthy by Saturday. Sophomore WRs Willie Haulstead and Rodney Smith are really coming into their own at the end of the season. |
