KU narrowly escapes UM in overtime
The last time Kansas wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a perfect record, they captured their first national championship since 1988. When the Jayhawks travel to Ames on Wednesday to tangle with Iowa State, they'll do so with a record of 15-0. Despite a 15 point lead in the first half of Sundays final non-conference game against Michigan (11-5; 1-2), No. 3 ranked Kansas (15-0; 0-0) avoided a stunning defeat by slipping past the Wolverines, 67-60, in overtime. Marcus Morris scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, while twin brother, Markieff, finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
