SIGNING DAY: Chris Barnett fills a need
Before Michigan's coaching staff could put their recruiting game plan together last month, they first had to evaluate the talent they had coming back on their roster. One hole they saw immediately was at tight end, where just two scholarship players return in 2011.
Head coach Brady Hoke and his staff addressed the tight end need on National Signing Day when Hurst (Tex.) L.D. Bell four-star Chris Barnett moved his decision date up from Saturday and faxed in his letter of intent to the Michigan offices just in time for Hoke's press conference.
