Decision in on Ealey

Washaun Ealey has apparently been suspended indefinitely from all football activities, UGASports has learned.

Monday night, sources close to Ealey said the running back had left the team, although those reporters have not been confirmed by UGA officials.

According to sources, Ealey was informed of the decision following a meeting after the former ECI star failed to appear for a required "punishment run."

Neither Ealey nor head coach Mark Richt could immediately be reached for comment.

As a freshman, Ealey led the Bulldogs in rushing with 125 carries for 717 yards and three touchdowns. Last year, Ealey rushed 141 times for 751 yards and 11 scores, including a 157-yard effort against Kentucky which saw the 5-foot-11, 215-pounder tie a school record with five touchdowns.

Richt was expected to address the situation later today.
