Warchant.com Jamey Shouppe, Florida State's associate head coach and the Seminoles' recruiting coordinator since 1990, understands the challenges of recruiting in Florida and against Florida.
The landscape has changed dramatically over the years.
"The success that Miami has had, the success that Florida is now having, South Florida is putting a new facility together, UCF has put some money in their baseball facilities and hired a new coaching staff three years ago. ... people think it's easy to recruit in the state of Florida but there's a lot of competition," Shouppe explained.
Of course, the competition continues between the white lines as undefeated FSU (7-0) tangles with top-ranked and undefeated UF (7-0) in Tampa on Tuesday to kick-start its week against SEC competition.
