Insider Report: Injuries taking a toll on the OL
Florida State will be spending the rest of spring practice without its top running back.
Chris Thompson will miss six to eight weeks to heal up a back injury said head coach Jimbo Fisher following the team's seventh spring practice and first in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Thompson, who started the last four games of the 2010 season and was the offensive MVP in FSU's 26-17 win over South Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Bowl (147 rushing yards), had been held out of contact in recent days. Fisher expects the speedy back to be fully recovered in plenty of time for the start of preseason practice in August.
