Linebacker likes Vols
With the first round of football camps concluded for the summer Tennessee has had chance to welcome several targeted prospects to campus for the first time in the recruiting process. One of those taking advantage of camp week to get a look at the Vols' program was Pennsylvania linebacker Tyrone Neal, who left impressed with what he saw.
Neal (6-foot-1, 225 pounds), from McKeesport, Pa., has been on the Vols' recruiting radar since early in the spring. Those early efforts on the part of the staff paid off last week when Neal made the trip South to get a closer look at Derek Dooley's football program.
Tennessee extended an early offer to Neal, and the Vols have been joined on that front by such programs as Florida, Nebraska, USC Auburn and Pittsburgh.
The Vols had a chance to make a strong impression this week though as Neal has not traveled much to this point in his recruitment.
