Mountaineers will look to run

WVSports.com Last season the West Virginia basketball team reached the 21-win plateau through a combination of tough-nosed defense, rebounding and timely, well executed half-court offense. But if early returns from the players are any indication, this year's edition of the hardwood Mountaineers should provide a good bit of excitement on the offensive end.
The Mountaineers averaged 69.8 points per-game last season, with that averaging slipping to 65.2 in the 18-game Big East schedule and a game at the Big East Championship in Madison Square Garden. That put the Mountaineers at 11th in the 16-team conference.
