La Porte (Texas) sophomore Hoza Scott (pronounced like "Jose") was a rarity in Class 5A football in the state of Texas a year ago when he played on varsity as a freshman. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound standout played both running back and linebacker for the Bulldogs.

A year later and Scott has helped lead La Porte to a 4-1 record and a top 15 ranking in the Houston area. He attended Texas A&M's game this past weekend against Oklahoma State but it was not the first time he has had contact with the Aggies.
