SU looking at another Provo
On Friday night Nick Provo had himself a big game. Orange fans have started to associate the name Provo with solid tight end play. This is the last year of Nick Provo, but the name might not be lost.
"Nick is my older brother," said Tyler Provo. "I think he's doing great. He's having a good year."
The younger Provo himself received his first scholarship from the Orange a few months ago.
"Syracuse offered me this summer. I was excited when they came in with the offer."
Provo, 6-foot-2, 220 pounds has been around the Orange for the past few years and there are a few items that stick out to him.
"I like the school and the campus is really nice. I like the coaches, I really like Coach Hackett, and I think the football program is run really well," Provo said, "It looks like a good place to go to school."
After watching his brother for the past few years tuning into a Syracuse game is nothing new for the Sunshine State product, but what happened on Friday was a surprise.
"I thought it was a great win. I thought West Virginia would have put up more of a fight. The defense looks like they improved a lot."
Tight ends catching touchdowns also sticks out to the young tight end prospect.
"I think it's awesome how much they throw to the tight ends. I could see myself playing for that offense."
Other than Syracuse Provo is getting looks for a few other programs.
"Cincinnati, UCF, Bowling Green, Miami and Florida have all been showing interest in me."
Even though he has learned a lot about Syracuse the one item that sticks out about the school is already close to home.
'When I think about the Orange I think about my brother because that is where he plays."
