South Alabama preview
For the third time this week Mississippi State takes to the hardwood inside Humphrey Coliseum.
The Bulldogs have had mixed reviews out of the gate winning the opener over Eastern Kentucky by 10 and falling to Akron two days later by 10. This afternoon at 1 p.m. MSU gets a chance to close out the week on a winning note hosting South Alabama.
"They are a good team, I know they always have a good team," said MSU head coach Rick Stansbury. "We have to get ready after the quick turnaround and focus
on South Alabama."
Today will mark the 13 meeting between the two programs with the Bulldogs holding an 11-1 edge in the series. State won the last meeting 79-60 in 2008. Dee Bost is the only player that remains on the roster from that game where he scored four points and dished out five assists.
Stansbury has six victories over the Jaguars which rank as the most against any non-conference opponent.
