Game at a Glance
Officially, Missouri avenged one of its only two losses with an 83-65 win over Oklahoma State on Wednesday night. In reality, it wasn't nearly that close.
The Tigers led 82-50 after two free throws by Phil Pressey with 4:54 to go. A 15-1 Cowboy run to close the game against a lineup featuring two walk-ons for Mizzou provided the final margin.
"I think we played tonight," Frank Haith said. "We put a game out there tonight. Our guys competed and played hard on the defensive end, we rebounded the ball, we blocked out, we shared the ball, we didn't turn it over. You look at the stats, we had a really strong performance.
The Cowboys did lead early, holding a 10-9 edge at the first TV timeout. But after that, it was all Tigers. Missouri outscored OSU 73-41 before the late meaningless run.
"I thought, let's just move on," Oklahoma State coach Travis Ford said. "Forget about this game and get out of here."
When the Tigers are going well, that's sometimes the only option.
