A torn patellar tendon suffered in his first year of high school basketball caused some to cool on Peter Jok's potential. After playing through the pain as a sophomore, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Des Moines (IA) Valley High School hoped a surgery to fix the injury and an injury-free junior season would ease any doubts about his basketball prowess.
