Spain ready for competition
Redshirt sophomore Quinton Spain entered the spring atop the depth chart at left tackle after the departure of stalwart Don Barclay to graduation and fully understands that nothing is a given at this point.
But after spending last season at both the guard and tackle spots, filling in as the "sixth man" on the offensive line, Spain believes he's found his way back home to his natural position although he credits the experience last year as one of the reasons for his overall improvement.
"I'm comfortable there (at left tackle). I came in at left tackle and I've played left tackle my whole life," said the soft-spoken Spain.
