How they got here: Spring boarded by a 15-1 win over Central Florida in its Conference USA Tournament opener the Blazers went 3-1 in Pearl, Miss. for its ever conference title. Pitcher Dillon Napolean (5-4, 4.85 ERA) started the year off in impressive fashion allowing just one earned run in seven innings but has been inconsistent throughout the year as opposing offenses are hitting .305 off of him this season, he has been used mostly in relief in recent weeks. Despite the team's 4.49 ERA it was the pitching that got the Blazers through the C-USA tournament as they allowed three runs or less in each of its victories (ECU scored 10 runs on UAB but it had already clinched a spot in the title game). The UAB offense has gotten hot as of late scoring at least five runs in seven of its last 10 games.
