Defense swarms in scrimmage
The Razorback defense had its best scrimmage performance in at least five years Saturday when the unit racked up 21 tackles behind the line-of-scrimmage, including 12 sacks.
The Hogs were inside the stadium for the 162-play workout, which is roughly the amount of snaps in two-and-a-half games. The No. 1 offense with quarterback Tyler Wilson went exclusively against the No. 1 defense while the No. 2 offense with Brandon Allen always faced the No. 2 defense. The result was 747 yards, including 576 through the air and 237 by foot. Those numbers look big at first, but at 4.5 yards per play it is roughly 300 yards of offense for every 65 plays.
