Desmond Owino still committed for now

Defensive end Desmond Owino made the decision to commit to UNC when he was a senior at Raleigh Sanderson High. That was when Everett Withers was the interim head coach.
Withers found out after the season he would not be hired for the full-time job. He left to take an assistant coaching position at Ohio State, and Owino decided he wanted to make a change. He switched his verbal commitment to NC State.
Now a year later, Owino is about to finish a semester at Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy and finds himself in a similar position after Tom O'Brien was dismissed by NC State.
