Cavil's Crazy Week is Almost Over
It's been a wild few days for San Antonio James Madison three-star wide receiver Dannon Cavil. Just a week ago the midterm graduate was preparing to leave, tomorrow, to move to Berkeley, Calif. and begin his academic and collegiate career at Cal. That was when Jay Norvell and the Oklahoma Sooners got involved and decided to offer the 6-foot-5, 205-pound pass-catcher.
Word got out on Friday that Cavil had been offered by the Sooners the day before and he talked about just how he would try and sort the situation out. A day after announcing his final decision, to attend Oklahoma, he talked about just how things have played out since his world was turned upside down.
"I went to Norman Sunday at noon and it was one of those things, I kind of went back and forth on and it's something I've always wanted," Cavil recalled. "Oklahoma is something I've always wanted, but I kept thinking whether I wanted to stick with the program (Cal) that I have been with.
