Could Sawyer Be Closing in on a Sooner Offer
When it comes to recruiting quarterbacks Sooner fans are well aware that offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel identifies his target, extends an offers and goes all in on that prospect. For the 2014 class that prospect is Sooner legacy Justice Hansen who is now down to Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Should Hansen choose the Aggies, is there an obvious choice to become Heupel's new focus?
One prospect appears to be Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints Episcopal signal caller, Foster Sawyer, who was recently in Norman for a visit this past week. The visit came up out of the blue after Heupel extended an invite knowing that the 6-foot-5 and 210-pound prospect would be close by visiting Oklahoma State.
"I was at Oklahoma State and my coach called me on the way up there and was like 'if you want to, coach Heupel asked for you to stop by on your way back' and I was like yeah that's awesome. Went to OSU, loved OSU, great practice and sat with the quarterbacks. Then on my way back I went to OU and that was a great experience. Got to sit with all the quarterbacks in the meetings, it was just a great overall day.
