Two weeks ago everyone thought they knew where Pine Forest (Fayettevill, N.C.) defensive lineman Lamont Gaillard would commit.
Gaillard told InsideTheGators that Florida had a big lead going into a visit to Georgia, and that the UGA staff would really have to impress him to keep him from committing to the Gators.
In just 13 days things have taken a sharp turn in regards to the 6-foot-4, 315 pounder's recruitment.
"Florida is out of it for me," Gaillard told UGASports in a text message on Friday.
Gaillard's recruitment started to change after his visit to UGA when he said that Georgia and Florida were tied as his leaders.
Now that Florida is out, who is his leader?
"UGA leads," Gaillard responded when asked if he currently has a team on top.
The three-star prospects has plans to visit Athens again soon, but he also plans to take visits to a number of other schools as well.
"Of course I'm going to visit UGA again," Gaillard said when asked if he has any other visits planned. "I need to see the other schools as well."
The Tarheel State defender added that he does not have a timeline for a decision, but did shed some light on the schools he is considering going forward.
"I'm considering every school that has offered me," he said.
