Pouncey Twins ready to re-commit?
In the wild world of college football recruiting you frequently hear buzz words like "favorite," "commitment" and "decommitment". A less frequently heard word is "re-commitment," but that that may be the best way to describe what James Pouncey and LaShawn Pouncey should be doing in the near future.
Last July, the standout Lakeland offensive linemen, better known as the Pouncey Twins, went public with a commitment to Florida State. They held on to that commitment and did several subsequent interviews confirming their decision to become Seminoles. That changed during a combine in January after they were "advised" that their recruiting ranking and chances of playing in all-star games would be hurt if they remained committed.
In response, the Twins technically "de-committed" but also made it clear that when the dust settled they still intended on signing with the Seminoles. Now that they have had a taste of the recruiting process and reeled in a ton of offers, including ones from Miami, UF, USC, LSU and Michigan, the Lakeland duo are rethinking their earlier decision and are getting close to re-committing to the 'Noles.
