Raji's injury affects much
The injury to defensive tackle B.J. Raji was a scary one, but it looks like Boston College got lucky. Raji is on crutches and will miss a couple of weeks, but the hope is that he'll be ready for the season opener.
Raji's injury looked bad as his ankle got caught up in a pile and twisted but word is that it's not broken nor are any ligaments torn. It is a severe sprain and we're not sure if it's a lower or higher sprain.
He's currently on crutches and will be watching practice for awhile, but it could have been much, much worse.
Fellow defensive tackle Keith Willis is wearing the red cross and out of practice with what appears to be a hip injury. However, Willis should be ready for the season opener and could be back next week or earlier.
His injury along with Raji's has pushed Austin Giles inside to defensive tackle, which is a good thing for two reasons.
