Stephens looking forward to senior season
McAllen Memorial running back Bradley Stephens has spent a long time waiting for this moment.
Despite starting since his freshman year and gaining over 5,000 yards in his three-year career, Stephens has played in relative obscurity in the Rio Grande Valley. This is not only due to its distance from some of Texas' population centers, but also the perceived quality of high school football in that part of the state.
However, Stephens and his teammates are going to get a chance to compete under the bright lights on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. when they play Victoria Memorial in the final game of the Texas Football classic.
For Stephens, it's about more than just himself or even his high school team.
