Injuries open door for other players
Injuries add up
Mark Mangino said after practice that the Jayhawks have encountered some unfortunate news on the injury front.
He said Jerome Kemp, Darrell Stuckey, James Holt, and Angus Quigley have been injured at practice recently.
It appears the most serious is Quigley.
"Quigley is lost for the season," Mangino said. "He suffered an injury that is very unusual. In fact our medical team and Jeff Randall had to do extensive research to find out who is an expert on these type of injuries. He's going to be under the care of a lead orthopedic surgeon from the Miami Dolphins who is an expert in these injuries."
But the news may be better on the other players. Also missing from workouts was Eric Washington. From the sounds of it Mangino expects all of the others to be back at some point.
