Parker makes the most of his one play
Freshman receiver Preston Parker stood around for two hours waiting
for his chance. For two hours -- and, technically, it might have even
been longer than that -- Parker never took his helmet off. As Monday
night's game pushed into the third quarter, Parker stood on the sidelines and waited.
Then, just as Florida State's offense finally showed signs of life, Parker got the call. Graduate assistant coach Ron Dugans grabbed him and pushed him on the field. For one play. One square-in route. One opportunity to make a splash. One crack to prove he belonged.
