Despite a tough 17-15 loss to NC State last Saturday night, there were a few standouts for Boston College. Running back L.V. Whitworth takes the award this week for his first 100-yard game of the football season and the first for any BC running back since the Maryland game last year.

Whitworth carried the ball 21 times for 109 yards and a 5.2 yards-per-carry average. He was the most effective runner on the BC team and helped the Eagles control the clock and gain a nine-minute advantage in time of possession.
