Youth shining bright in Aggieland
Texas A&M is off to an 8-1 start as they head into a November that could equally be one to remember, or one to forget. With Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas left on the schedule the Aggies will face the best three teams on their schedule last.
But by looking back at how A&M got to this point it all starts with a underclassmen.
The quality youth on this team broods confidence that the nucleus of A&M can be a force to be reckoned with not only this season, but also in the future, especially on offense.
Everything started with the leadership qualities of sophomore quarterback Stephen McGee and the brute force of sophomore running back Jorvorskie Lane.
The two combined to form an exceptional option attack that dominated against three of A&M's non-conference opponents, and led to the win over Army.
But as the Big 12 conference season got under way other underclassmen got into the mix like sophomore tight end Martellus Bennett and freshman running back Mike Goodson.
