Dawgs & Tigers Notebook
The Georgia Bulldogs (7-4, 4-4) ended the #5 Auburn Tigers (9-2, 5-2) hopes of a BCS bowl game defeating the Tigers 37-15 on the road in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Georgia head coach Mark Richt credits team unity for the win.
"I am extremely proud of this team. If there has been one saving grace for me through all of the bad things that have happened to us, it is that we stayed together and we stayed unified," said Richt. "We didn't give in, we kept grinding, and we kept working. We kept trying to do the things we needed to do to win."
Georgia won their 700th road game in the victory and the win was Georgia's first against a top-five ranked opponent in an opposing stadium.
