The Hempstead Bobcats finished the season 5-5 overall and 3-3 in district 26-2A. The record put them fourth overall in the district, and a playoff run would not be in the cards for 2006.

It would have been easy for Chris Tate and his Bobcat teammates to roll over following a tough loss to Somerville, but the high-octane Bobcat offense powered by Baylor commitment Chris Tate and five-star receiver Terrance Toliver would have no part in giving up.
