JayhawkSlant.com During the early signing period, Bill Self received a National Letter-of-Intent from Cole Aldrich and Tyrel Reed. There was a time when it appeared that the Hawks were done recruiting in the class of 2007, but that doesn't appear to be the case. A junior college prospect took an official visit to Kansas during the weekend of the Boston College game.
Marcus Thornton, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound shooting guard from Kilgore (TX) College has emerged as one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2007. High-major programs from all across the United States have expressed an interest in the extremely talented prospect.
Thornton reports offers from Kansas, Texas A&M, Maryland, Louisville, Miami (Fla.) and Oklahoma.
