Is Okafor rattled by coaching change?
When Bill Bedenbaugh resigned as the Texas Tech offensive line coach late last week to go to Arizona, many felt that this move would negatively impact the Red Raiders' recruiting efforts. Already having a replacement hired, Tech quickly made the announcement that former Louisiana Tech Head Coach Jack Bicknell, Jr. would be taking Bedenbaugh's position.
One of the newest lineman commitments to the 2007 class is Houston Westbury standout Mickey Okafor. There was much speculation as to whether or not Okafor's commitment would still be solid under a new coach.
The 6-foot-6 290 pound lineman downplayed the situation and made it perfectly clear that playing for Bicknell would not be a problem.
