Aggies look to regroup against Oklahoma at Reed
It's weird thinking that No. 6 Texas A&M lost its last game, yet the loss caused the Aggies to fall into a first place tie in the Big 12 conference standings.
But A&M (16-3, 4-1 Big 12) will still be trying to regroup after the loss as they host Oklahoma (11-7, 3-3) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Reed Arena, which will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
A disturbing trend has developed, however, for A&M in Big 12 play. The Aggies, who led the nation in assists during non-conference play, have had more assists than turnovers just once in conference play against Colorado (16 assists to 15 turnovers).
The Aggies will need to get back on track if they hope to continue their run towards a Big 12 championship.
The Sooners, however, stand in the way. Oklahoma has been surprising thus far in conference play with superb conference play from Nate Carter and Michael Neal. Big man Longar Longar gives OU a big, athletic body in the middle.
