Clemson lands another 2008 verbal commit
The Clemson coaching staff has secured its fourth verbal commitment of the 2008 recruiting class in quarterback Jon Richt of Athens, Ga. - Prince Avenue Christian, as first reported by Tigerillustrated.com.
Richt, the son of Georgia head football coach Mark Richt, attended Clemson's summer camp last June, and not too long thereafter he was extended a scholarship offer by Clemson offensive coordinator Rob Spence.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound signal-caller threw for more than 1,600 yards last fall.
Richt drew interest from Oklahoma State, Colorado, Florida State and Maryland, among other schools, in addition to the Tigers.
