Catching up with the 2005 signing class
The University of Alabama's 2005 football recruiting class was celebrated for many reasons, the biggest being that it was the school's first full haul of signees since going on probation in 2002. It also included the state's top prospect and four running backs who would go on to see game action in their first two seasons on campus.
Overall, the 2005 signing class featured nine players who saw playing time as true freshmen. Looking ahead to the 2007 season, as many as 23 members of the class will be in position to challenge for spots on the two-deep when spring practice gets underway at Alabama on March 24.
