Notebook: Injuries piling up
While Auburn has managed to avoid any major injuries this spring, a lot of minor bumps and bruises are starting to add up as the Tigers reach the midpoint of spring drills.
Players missing Wednesday's practice with an injuries included defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, defensive tackle Jermarcus Ricks, defensive end Bryant Miller, linebacker Merrill Johnson, running back Mario Fannin and receiver Robert Dunn.
"We're starting to get some guys beat up, just small things - hamstrings, pulled muscles, shoulders," said AU head coach Tommy Tuberville. "We've done a lot of contact."
The most serious injury belongs to Ricks who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his injured knee Tuesday and will miss the remainder of spring practice.
"It was a little worse than they would have hoped," said Tuberville. "It's probably going to set him back a month. Hopefully by the end of school, he'll be back running."
