Q&A with DE Marcus Howard
Starting out at linebacker before moving to defensive end, Marcus Howard has been a backup throughout his career at Georgia. Now, the sole senior on the defensive line is fighting for a first team spot as the Bulldogs rebuild their defensive front. Here is a quick Q&A with Howard.
Question: You were able to play a fair about last year as a substitute, what is it like to spend all of your time with the first team now?
Howard: "Right now I would say it is pretty good, but I would not say exactly that I am the number one guy. Right now we have myself, Roderick Battle, Jeremy Lomax, and a couple of young guys, and we are all competing for that spot. It is good for a lot of the young guys to get reps."
Question: That is an unselfish comment. Being the only senior of the defensive line, do you feel like you have to take over the leadership role?
