Linebacker has plenty of experience this spring
Linebacker is the one position on the Nebraska defense heading into spring ball where depth and experience will not be an issue.
The Huskers return four players that have starting experience in seniors Bo Ruud, Corey McKeon, Lance Brandenburgh and Steve Octavien.
Behind these four players, sophomore Phillip Dillard has also shown great promise in the limited action he's see over the last two years.
However, maybe the scariest thing heading into spring ball for NU is all of their top linebackers are seniors and there is not much experience behind them.
Next spring, linebacker will be a lot like the defensive line is this spring, so it will be important for defensive coordinator Kevin Cosgrove to establish some young depth over the next year.
Walk-on redshirt freshman Kyle Moore appears to already be on the fast track, as he made the travel roster last fall. Moore flew way under the radar as a recruit, despite the fact he was the younger brother of former Husker defensive end Jay Moore.
