Q&A: Al Thornton concludes his collegiate career
Following Florida State's 86-71 to Mississippi State in the NIT Quarterfinals, senior Al Thornton spoke to the media about the disappointing conclusion to the season, what thoughts he left with his teammates, and what he thinks the future holds for FSU.
"It was very emotional. Knowing that myself, personally, as well as the team - we didn't come out and play our best basketball. We turned the ball over several times. I think the guys did a good job for the first half until the last minute and a half of staying in the game when I wasn't in the game and I wasn't able to contribute. I think they did a great job. The last minute and a half (of the first half) we just turned the ball over and they got that lead, I think it was 28 to 40 coming into halftime, and it was an uphill battle."
