NU Notes: Keller hopes to put on a show
Senior quarterback Sam Keller has waited a long time to get the chance to play in front of a live stadium atmosphere.
Since transferring to NU last August from Arizona State, Keller hasn't played in front of a live crowd since the middle of the 2005 season.
Following Wednesday's spring practice, Keller said he's looking forward to getting the chance to play in front of a big crowd at Saturday's Red-White game.
"I'll tell you what, my heart is going to be thumping when I get out in front people," Keller said. "In the past, that's something I really thrived on in games like LSU or USC. I like the big games. Those were games where I really found out a lot about myself and I really liked those games.
"I haven't got to do that in a while, it's been an uphill climb, so this will be a really nice breath of fresh air to get out in front of people with the guys trying to march down the field. It will be everything I love to do."
