When Dayne Crist arrived at Notre Dame on Wednesday, he didn't run to see the famous landmarks like the Golden Dome or Touchdown Jesus. Instead, the 6-foot-5, 221-pound quarterback from Sherman Oaks, Calif., spent a few moments enjoying the "atmosphere."

"I saw snow for the first time," Crist said. "The first thing I did was make a snowball. It was kind of cold, but I put on a sweatshirt and I was fine."

Crist and his parents arrived late Tuesday night but didn't hit campus until Wednesday morning.
