Tar Heels in the mix for Georgia DE
Gainesville (GA) defensive end Keith Wells is a priority on North Carolina's recruiting board in the Class of 2008, a true difference-maker on the field at a position of significant need.
The 6-5, 225-pound Wells recently made a visit to Chapel Hill to take in the UNC atmosphere, and get a better feel for the Tar Heel program.
The fact that the Tar Heels can offer early playing time to Wells, one of the top prep players in Georgia in the 2008 class, has not gone unnoticed, and that, combined with the academic opportunities present at UNC, has given Carolina a fairly good chance of being on his short list once he begins to narrow down his choices.
Wells is looking at three factors in the various schools he is considering, a list that includes Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Florida, and Georgia.
