GA standout Hayward has Vandy in his top three
With the ability to play both receiver and defensive back at the college level while possessing 4.5 speed in the forty, Perry (Ga.) athlete Casey Hayward has already begun to get significant attention from a number of Division 1-A programs including Vanderbilt.
The versatile 6-foot-1, 185-pound two-sport standout rushed for 745 yards and 11 touchdowns on 115 carries and passed for another 841 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior last year while helping the Panthers to a 7-4 record.
Playing in the same region as Peach County three-star signee Udom Umoh, Hayward has generated a good deal of attention from Vanderbilt receiver's coach Charlie Fisher and Hayward likes what the Commodores have to offer.
"Vanderbilt is in my top three as of now," said Hayward. "I like their school and they're up and coming in all the sports.
