Lewis-Moore takes notice of top visitors
When college coaches stop by Weatherford High School, Kapron Lewis-Moore takes notice. But when Charlie Weis, Bob Stoops and Mike Gundy arrive at the Texas school, the 6-foot-4, 229-pound defensive end gets a different message.
"What that tells me is that those schools are pretty serious about you," Lewis-Moore said. "The head coach coming out, that's kind of a big thing especially with a program the caliber of Notre Dame. That's pretty cool."
Lewis-Moore could describe his recruitment the same way, particularly after visits this week from Florida and USC, both of which have floated the idea of extending a future scholarship. Lewis-Moore said he's up to about 25 offers, the latest coming from Missouri, which delivered the news right outside his English class. Other recent offers include Arkansas, Iowa and Tulsa.
